Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board Weekend Weather?

Hi there. I'm attempting Whitney again this weekend, sunday and monday, and I'm wondering if anyone has been up there lately and what the typical temps are at trail camp? has there been any precip in the area? any more weird happenings involving disturbed gear at trail camp while people are summiting?

I was just up there on the Whitney trail.. Temperatures have been running about 85/44 in town. Nights are cool up on the mountain, but days are pleasant.....Trail camp is running about 57 high and 20 low. No real precipitation lately but some is coming in another week or so (just before Halloween). It is cold enough to freeze the stream above trail camp at night.
