Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board Shuttle from Whitney Portal to Cottonwood Lakes TH

Is there anyone out there who will be starting a trip from the Cottonwood Lakes TH area and exiting at the Portal? I will be leaving my car at the Portal on Aug 21-Sunday afternoon and am looking to catch a ride to Cottonwood Lakes TH. If anyone is doing this shuttle and has the room for 1/person and backpack I would be happy to offer gas money.
The other option is sharing the expense for the Whitney Shuttle. It is $195 (ouch) but can be for 1 to 4 people and gear.

I believe your odds of getting a ride from Whitney Portal to the intersection of Whitney Portal Road and Horseshoe Meadows Road are excellent, and your odds of getting a ride from there to the Cottonwood Lakes trailhead are good.
