For those with a few seasons under your belt,

If you were asked to give average conditions on the mounain in the end of November time frame, what would you say?

I am looking in terms of snow on the mountain, mainly questioned towards the mountaineers route.

I know this is not the best time for climbing, but would like to know what people usually see that time of year, and route to get up the mountain.

thanks in advance,

Brian

Well hopefully, for me anyway, the first few snow storms have already arrived by then and I'm skiing in the sierras at that time. Last year this is exactly what happened.

Hi This is the best time of the year, colors of the sky and ice on the walls stand out more than any other time of the year , most trips we see no one else, very good chance to get warm days and very cold nights with some snow cover under the trees and north facing slopes , expect ice under lite snow cover.

If you plan on the mountaineer's route wind can be very strong down canyon and layer clothing is needed, hands and face may may stay cold all day. and very short days So you need to know the area very well as much of the travel will be in the dark. Thanks Doug

Thanks for the insight! Hope to make it out there to see it for myself.
