Eugene K Member Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 57 CA	Does anyone know what the situation is? Inyo forest web site seems to say that the campground is closed, but half the links don't work. Is the road even passable all the way to the campground?

KevinR Member Joined: May 2007 Posts: 585 Manchester, NH	Road is still gated. The Inyo County Hwy dept maintains the road - you might call them for estimates as to when it will be opened. Lots of snow up high right now. See Doug Sr's posts for some idea. The Portal is 8.3K; the TH at Cottonwood is 10K.
