Someone told me that there has been a fair bit of smoke in the eastern sierra due to forest fires. I guess I am not up to date with what is burning where, but I was wondering if there has been smokey conditions in the area around Whitney and the Portal.

The "Sheep" fire in Kings Canyon has been buring for several months now. Probably won't stop until the first rains come later this year.
