I headed up to the Cottonwood / Trail Passes Trailhead again yesterday...

Road had less ice than last time, but there is some in the shade on the downhill home (right by the Old Trail)...so don't come screaming down the hill...

I got there so late, the only reasonable hike was up to Trail Pass. Lots of boot tracks, compacted snow, ice and PUDDLES...I was amazed that it's still warm enough for that much melt...

Looking towards Langley, I'd say it's still a (n easy) possibility...

I've been thinking of heading up for a couple of day hikes but wasn't sure about the road being open.

So, I assume there are no cars at the trailhead? Did you make it over to Cottonwood Lakes trailhead?

I was also thinking about Kearsarge Pass.

What day were you up there?

I saw 1 other motorcycle (heading down as I was heading up) and no other vehicles up there.

I was only at the Cottonwood / Trail Passes Trailhead.
