I headed up to Horseshoe Meadows for a higher altitude workout...

I was going to go up Cottonwood and loop around to Trail Pass, but I noticed some hikers heading to the crossing and stopped to watch...They appeared to get across without getting wet, so I headed over for a look...The boulders they appeared to use were about 4" under water, so I headed upstream and found an easy crossing...about a 3' jump to clear the stream...less than 150 yards upstream...

There are only a few patches of snow left on the route, so I'd call it snow-free...

I think the Equestrian people cut a path through the cornice at Cottonwood Pass so they can get horses to the PCT...so it's an easy walk now...

I still had to walk a ways upstream at the stream crossing down lower as the normal crossing is a wide, wet mess...

It was WARM...
