Rode Big Orange up to the Old Trailhead...

Hiked up to Lake 4 for Lunch...

On the way back, I crossed over the Meadow to where I could get a good view of New Army Pass...

Cornice on top of NAP, but there is exposed rock, so I'd imagine you could get to the top with some scrambling...

No cornice on Army Pass, but it is a steep traverse if you try to follow the trail...

Cornice on the top of Navy Pass,,,

Didn't feel like hiking up to have a look at Thompson/Kirk Pass, but I'd imagine it's more of the same...

I came down NAP Trail...what a mistake...I'd recommend heading up the Cottonwood Lakes Trail and crossing over the Meadow, rather than dealing with the conditions on the NAP Trail...

Here are the photos:

Golden Trout Camp.

CL / NAP Trail Junction.

View at the "top" of the trail to Cottonwood Lakes. (Flattens considerable past here.)

Mt. Langley in the distance.

New Army Pass.

Army Pass.

If you don't mind the extra distance, it looks like you could start climbing Cirque Peak and then contour over the crest to the top of NAP.
